Coop Koala

Co-op Koala was the product of Revolution UC, a 24 Hour Hackathon sponsored by IBM, Dell, TCS, and the University of Cincinnati. My team won "Best College Themed Hack" award at the hackathon.

Co-op Koala shows the daily life of a co-op/intern in the form of timelines. Current co-ops can enter details about their day through an online form and other students can see the complete timeline to learn more about the specific co-op and company.

A timeline helps in providing a visual aid to the user to learn more about a typical work day and helps understand the breakdown of what is accomplished by a co-op/intern during that day.

The project also hopes to address stereotypes and misconceptions about certain jobs that discourage students from pursuing certain jobs. For example, through the timeline, a prospective software developer would realize that there is much more to a software related position than just coding. This will help prospective students decide which fields they would like to work in and which companies would be better suited for them.

This was made using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SmoothScrollJS and JQuery.
